Walner Dominates ‘Dancer;’ Ariana G Glides in ‘Miller’

The $350,500 Stanley Dancer Memorial and $250,500 Del Miller Memorial highlighted the stakes-laden undercard of the Meadowlands Pace program on Saturday, July 15, with two divisions of each being contested.

Ariana G (H-Muscle Hill) cruised to the lead before the half before strolling to a 1:51.4 win over Magic Presto (H-Kadabra) and Dream Baby Dream (H-Muscle Hill) in the first division of the Del Miller. Owned by Marvin Katz and Al Libfeld, trained by Jimmy Takter, and driven by Yannick Gingras, she paid $2.20 to win.

Overdraft Volo (H-Yankee Glide) pounced on pacesetter Feed Your Head (H-Muscle Hill) off a pocket trip to win the second Del Miller division in 1:52.2, with Checkmate Time finishing third. Owned by Pinske Stables and Kentuckiana Racing, trained by Julie Miller, and driven by Andy Miller, she paid $16.20.

Walner (H-Chapter Seven) grabbed the lead entering the backstretch and maintained control, sprinting to a 1:50.2 stakes-record victory in the opening division of the Stanley Dancer, with Devious Man (H-Credit Winner) finishing second and Bill’s Man (H-Credit Winner) third. Owned by Kenneth Jacobs, trained by Linda Toscano, and driven by Tim Tetrick, he paid $2.20.

Long Tom (H-Muscle Hill) rode the pocket and slid past tempo-setter What The Hill (H-Muscle Hill) to win the second division of the Stanley Dancer in 1:52.4, with Meteoric finishing third. Owned by Amg Stable Oy, trained by Marcus Melander, and driven by Tim Tetrick, he paid $3.20.
