Backstage Pass claimed victory in the $75,000 Earl Beal Jr. Memorial Consolation earlier in the program, closing on faltering pacesetter Muscles Jared (H-Muscle Massive) and first-over challenger Giveitgasandgo (H-Yankee Glide) to win in 1:55. Owned by Jessica Smith, trained by Mike Simons, and driven by Tim Tetrick, he paid $92.40 to win.
