Maximus Mearas S, whose sire Chapter Seven was fourth in the 2011 Hambletonian

final, worked out a third-over trip in the second Hambletonian elimination on Saturday

(July 26) at the Meadowlands and trotted a 26 second final quarter to end up a length

and a half behind winner Super Chapter. He was timed in 1:51.3.

Last year as a rookie, Maximus Mearas S won two overnight races at Harrah’s

Philadelphia and the Meadowlands, his Bluegrass Stakes division at The Red Mile and

his Breeders Crown elimination at The Red Mile. He was second in the Breeders Crown

final.

His Hambletonian elimination was just his second start of 2025, as he was fourth in his

Stanley Dancer Memorial split at the Meadowlands.
