State Treasurer (BC-Real Desire) continues to reign over the aged-pacing group, protecting his position atop the division ranks with a 1:47.4 performance in the $685,000 Canadian Pacing Derby as the 8-5 betting choice on Saturday, Sept. 5.

Hastily obtaining control through a three-wide brush to the lead, State Treasurer sprinted clear of pacesetter JK Endofanera (BC-Art Major) along with the rest of the field, advancing to a 2-length win over closing Shamballa (BC-Somebeachsomewhere) and Limelight Beach (BC-Somebeachsomewhere).

State Treasurer returned $5.40 to win. The $208,577 Pennsylvania Sires Stakes put the freshman trotting colt division into the spotlight, with three divisions going at The Meadows on Friday, Sept. 4. Love Matters (BC-Explosive Matter), Sutton (BC-Donato Hanover), and Hititoutofthepark claimed first in their respected divisions, with Love Matters paying $2.20 in victory, Sutton returning $12.40, and Hititoutofthepark paying $12.00.
