Nuncio Wins in Takter Kentucky Futurity Sweep at Red Mile Grand Circuit Finale

On Oct. 5, the 122nd edition of the $435,000 Kentucky Futurity at The Red Mile was taken by Nuncio (BC-Andover Hall) over divisional leader, and stable-mate Father Patrick (BC-Cantab Hall). John Campbell drove Nuncio, the 9-5-second choice to Father Patrick, winning the Kentucky Futurity in 1:51.3 for trainer Jimmy Takter. Stall TZ, Inc. owns the colt. 

The $224,000 Kentucky Filly Futurity was the co-feature on Oct. 5 and only seven sophomore filly trotters went straight to final, as did the colt version. Team Takter’s 
Shake It Cerry (BC-Donato Hanover), the 1-5 favorite, trotted to a 1:52.2 victory. She’s owned by Solveig’s Racing Partners, trained by Jimmy Takter, and driven by Ron Pierce.
