Confederate is unanimous No. 1-ranked horse in Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll (Copy)

Hightstown, NJ — Only one horse in the Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll Top 10 was in action last week, resulting in little movement in the Week 19 edition of the rankings released Tuesday.

Confederate remained the unanimous No. 1, holding down the top spot for the ninth consecutive week. He was followed by Sylvia Hanover and T C I, also unchanged from a week ago. In the next two spots, pacer Tattoo Artist, who won the Woodbine Mohawk Park FFA, swapped places with Tactical Approach.

There was no movement in the remaining five positions, occupied by Geocentric, It’s My Show, Grace Hill, Bythemissal, and Alrajah One IT.

The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll does not determine Horse of the Year. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.

Rankings based on the votes of harness racing media representatives on a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis.
