Jiggy Jog S makes biggest move in Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll

Jiggy Jog S, who set a Canadian record in winning her Breeders Crown elimination this past weekend at Woodbine Mohawk Park, made the biggest move in the Week 21 Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll released Tuesday, going from just outside the Top 10 to No. 6 in the rankings.

Sylvia Hanover, also a Breeders Crown elimination winner, was the only other horse to join the Top 10 this week, taking position No. 10 from idle Twin B Joe Fresh.

The top-five spots in the poll were unchanged with Bulldog Hanover at No. 1 followed by Joviality S, Test Of Faith, Bythemissal, and Bella Bellini.

Joviality S, Test Of Faith, and Bythemissal were Breeders Crown elimination winners. Bulldog Hanover and Bella Bellini did not race because eliminations were unnecessary in their respective Breeders Crown events.

Fashion Schooner, who finished second to Jiggy Jog S, dropped from sixth to seventh. Completing the Top 10 were idle Beach Glass at No. 8 and Allywag Hanover at No 9.

Also dropping from the Top 10 was Stockade Seelster, who finished third in his Breeders Crown elimination.

The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll does not determine Horse of the Year. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.

Rankings based on the votes of harness racing media representatives on a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis.
